What to Know Before You Stop By
SAFETY FIRST - Everyone's safety comes first. Please do not enter the yard. I will gladly answer any questions you might have about starting your own show. When driving by WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS & KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD AND NOT ON THE LIGHTS.On the same note, if you are standing in front of the house remember to WATCH YOUR KIDS and WATCH FOR CARS. Not everyone on the street is coming to see the lights.
PARKING - With the show gaining in popularity, parking has become a problem. PLEASE NOTE that the only parking is on the street itself. You may have to park up the street and walk down if you don't want to wait in your car. There are a few vacant lots up the street, but you park their at your own risk. THE BEST VIEWING is from the east or approaching from the end closer to Santa Barbara. The house is "L" shaped so viewing all the lights and full effect from the west end is somewhat limited or null if you are not right at the house. You may have to wait a bit, but you will get a much better angle. Also, coming in from the NW end will cause traffic blockages. If traffic gets blocked, THE SHOW WILL SHUT DOWN. Otherwise we could be declared a nuisance and shut down permanent.
RADIO BROADCAST - I use a low power FM transmitter to broadcast the music from the show on 90.5 FM for about 800 feet either side of the house. You will lose the signal near the end of the block. PLEASE remember to keep the volume at a reasonable level. Most of my neighbors are pretty understandable and LOVE the show, however I try to respect their privacy.
